Summer football

We are excited to announce that registrations for our summer league are now open! There are 4 leagues:

  • Senior
  • Junior
  • U8s
  • Girls only

Due to council restrictions on pitches, we have limited spots available. Registrations will close once all spots are filled or by Friday 11th October—whichever comes first. Register promptly to avoid disappointment!

Key details

  • $350 per team
  • Kick offs are 6:00pm and 6:50pm, while KCU will try and accommodate your preferred KO time, this is not guaranteed every week.
  • Arrive at least 10 mins early to your kick-off time
  • Fridays at Weka Park
  • Starts Friday 25th October - 13th December then, recommencing Friday 17th January - 7th March
  • Prizegiving following the final games on 7th March
  • Cancellations will be sent via the competition WhatsApp group and will be published on the KCU Facebook page

Competition rules

  • 6 a side with rolling subs
  • 34 minute games with 17 minute halves
  • There will be three leagues. Grading rounds will determine first-round leagues, with mid-season promotion / relegation, determining the final-round leagues.
  • All leagues are mixed genders and open to all youth and senior players
  • Women's only teams encouraged
  • 20 teams max
  • The bar will be open for those who get thirsty  If any of your team are not current 2024 KCU members, they will need to be signed in  or will need to sign up as a member to enable them to purchase alcohol from the bar. This is a licensing requirement.

Welcome to the KCU Junior Summer Football J League 

  • Mixed teams - both boys and girls
  • $40 per player (25% discount on family registrations, please choose pay later and the Treasurer will invoice you separately)
  • 4pm - 5pm U10 (Boys born 2014 to 2015 and girls born 2013 to 2015)
  • 5pm - 6pm U12 (Boys born 2012 to 2013 and girls born 2010 to 2013)
  • Arrive 10 mins early and be ready to go
  • Fridays at Weka Park
  • Starts Friday 25th October - 13th December then, recommencing Friday 17th January - 7th March
  • Prizegiving following the final games on 7th March 
  • Teams will be allocated (but you can nominate up to 3 friends you'd like on your team, and we will try and accommodate) 
  • Cancellations will be sent via the Team Manager and will be published on the KCU Facebook page

It's a fun football competition and therefore teams do not require coaches, however please let us know if you can help with managing a team by:

  • Being added to a League WhatsApp Group and relay communications to the team
  • Helping ensure the team has sufficient players for match day
  • Ensuring equal game time for all players
  • Encouraging fun and fair play

  • 4:30pm - 5:30pm U8 (Boys born 2016 to 2018 and girls born 2015 to 2018)
  • Please arrive 10 mins early ready to go
  • Fridays at Weka Park
  • Starts Friday 1st November - 6th December then recommencing Friday 24th January - 28th February
  • Prizegiving following the final games on 28th February
  • Teams will be allocated (but, you can nominate friends you'd like on your team, and we will try and accommodate)
  • Cancellations will be sent via the Team Manager and will be published on the KCU Facebook page

  • Fridays at Weka Park (1st 8 weeks) and Jim Cooke (2nd 8 weeks)
  • Starts Friday 25th October - 13th December at Weka Park, then, recommencing Friday 17th January - 7th March at Jim Cooke
  • Prizegiving following the final games on 7th March
  • Teams will be allocated (but, you can nominate up to 3 friends you'd like on your team, and we will try and accommodate) 
  • Cancellations will be sent via the Team Manager and will be published on the KCU Facebook page
